The BEST Jeans for Every Body Type - UPDATED

Working as a stylist in über casual San Francisco means everyone is always on the hunt for new jeans. Here, I’m rounding up the best jeans for every body shape. Apple or Pear Shape
Rock that booty girl! It should come as no surprise the Kween of Kurves, Khloe Kardashian, has created Good American, an all inclusive brand focusing on bigger hips and bottoms. Are you one of those people who find their jeans gaping in the back when you sit? This brand is especaillllly perfect for a you as it tends to have a pinch waist, perfect for those of you with smaller waist in proportion to your hips and thighs. I’m also really enjoying the Abercrombie Curve and Everlane Curve silhouettes for something that can help balance out your shape and give you a perfect fit.
Another great brand that errs more affordable is NYDJ, or if you’re on a super strict budget or want something more trendy I love FashionNova.

Athletic Shape
You hit the gym and it shows! Let’s show off those legs while also finding some fits that work with your calves - I recommend sticking to a boyfriend style in a more fitted brand like Moussy or Kut from the Kloth. For a brand with exceptional stretch in their skinny jeans, I love Frame; their Le One style in a trend-forward flare or their JetSet wide leg offer a perfect fit even if you’re in between sizes - most of their silhouettes are now engineered to fit six sizes in one. Looking for a more contemporary or budget friendly option? Anthropologie’s in-house brand Pilcro is a great fit for you, like their quintessential Skipper Jean which is available in extended sizing including tall, petite, and plus. There is also always the tried and true Paige denim.
Rectangular Shape
You’re pretty slim and trim all over, with no major hips or thighs, but maybe you struggle with finding jeans that don’t gap or fall down. Now, it’s time to find the perfect jeans - let’s start with Mother; this brand of premium denim is amazing for a straight all the way down body frame. I love their Pixie or their Frisky Flood Straight legs for a modern fit. For another luxe and trendy brand, I love Re/Done’s jeans, especially this 90s Comfy Jean. Another great brand for you is American Eagle, as well as a classic Levi’s like the Ribcage Straight. Again, Frame is a great splurge brand; again, their Le One style in a trend-forward flare or their JetSet wide leg offer a perfect fit .
tip: if you’re tall and petite, opt for a lower or mid-rise denim to balance out your height and torso length.
